By night he is regarded as one of the brightest young presenters on UK radio with his evening show on Kiss 100. By day he works at the world renowned Imperial College London as a PhD Space Physicist.
But how did Martin begin living such a dual life? It all started when he was studying for his Masters Degree in Physics and Theoretical Physics at Imperial. Martin was nominated in 2006 for the Best Male Presenter and in the Best Entertainment Programming categories at the Student Radio Awards for Radio 1. This spurred him on to achieve his dream job of presenting at the world famous Kiss 100.
However Martin still retained a real passion for Physics, which ultimately led to his return to academia. Determined to come up with fresh perspectives on how to communicate his love of science, especially to young audiences, he was worked on a number of exciting and unique projects.
Martin has combined his DJing and Physics backgrounds into a new live show on DJ Physics, a collaboration with the Royal Institution; he writes, produces and co-presents the Droppin' Science podcast; and like a musical ninja he's invented the gestural DJ performance which he's dubbed WiiJing.
Martin is keen to front his own science TV show and is constantly thinking up new ideas and formats.
