"Preaching" does not have to occur for the bible to be a great moral teacher in it's own right. It is useful for history, culture, and literature, but to think it's value is limited to that is to greatly underestimate the power of scripture; which is God breathed. Where else can mankind go to receive revelation about God's great plan of salvation, His desire to have intimate communion with us, and our obligation to Him and our fellowman. No preaching is necessary, the Word of God preaches itself.
