About this user

I have always loved horses and rode as a teenager. I would read all kinds of books about horses and still have some of the books I had as a kid.
I found Cooper in 2007 when he was a yearling, he was born June 28 2006. (Green horse, green rider, I know, not a good combination!!)
He is about 14.2 hh and hopefully will grow another inch or 2.
I have done some training with natural horsemanship dvd's, started with Jonathan Fields then got Parelli dvd's and John Lyons.
Recently I have been doing regular lunging and training.
I never took lessons when I was younger so I started taking western lessons. I have passed Level 1 and working on Level 2. I have a left leg prosthesis, was born with myelomengocele (spina bifida) so it is a bit of a challenge, but I am managing very well.
I found a Carrot Stick Club in the area so now I can meet others.
In May 2010, I started having some fear issues when Cooper ran me over and have to get the trust and confidence back. It will happen, I have support and lots of people to help me with my journey.
