Im sure you must have come across Forkensift on youtube but if not; please watch his video #6) Project ForkenSwift electric car: LED battery gauge.
A lot of information about this gauge can be read at EV Weblog.
Any way I admire all the effort put forth, and the great information you are getting out there. I also agree having the shows on line gives a viewer the ability to watch anytime. Maybe someone could invent a fender mount Laptop holder ;-)
Many thanks for the kind words. No, we are not on PBS. But why would you want us to be on a 1/2 hour show once a week on PBS. We post shows of an hour to an hour and a half on our web site at http://evtv.me. And you get to watch them whenever you like. The Internet offers some great opportunities for video on demand and the resolution and bandwidth are improving. YouTube kind of sucks, but the concept of video on the Internet is very much a commer I think.
I would also like to know, are you doing this for a local public access TV station?
If you are just doing this for internet only, then it's a darn shame!!! I would really love to see a weekly 1/2 to 1 hour of this on something like PBS ( which reaches into Ontario Canada via OTA TV and Cable on WNED in Buffalo).
In any case many Thanks to you ( and The Brain ), for your hard work and desire to share you knowledge and know how!
I look forward to seeing more on the Mini Cooper project!
My name is Matthew and I live in Canada. I'm been trying to build an electric vehicle since high school but to success. I've design lots of parts and came up with some very interesting ideas but I just can't seem to be able to build one. Watching your videos really do help tremendously and really show me new things that I never had the guts to attack. I hope to be able to see more of the project as it goes on. My real interest in the vehicle is how your going to do the speedo gauge. I want to convert my truck but the speed is sensed from the rear crown gear in the rear end. I don't know how to get pass that. If I could I'd be converting my F-150 (1992). Well hope to hear more soon and Thanks soo much. Matthew
