Interesting look at marine boiler operation. It's a delicate balance to make changes for the amount of steam needed - sprayer plate, return flow, blower setting, etc. Nice basic instruction for those involved in historic ship or locomotive restoration.

@rjwhyte08 A replica Titanic - of 1912 design - would never meet today's safety and polution control requirements. Coal fired boilers and waste of all kind being dumped overboard would never be allowed. It might be possible to build a modern ship made to look like the Titanic - fake boiler stacks...

@WiredrawnMurder45 I do not advocate raising the Titanic - another poster proposes to do so. But I don't have a problem with artifacts being recovered from a wreck site. It fatalities meant that it was untouchable, then any building that burned with fatalities should also be demolished and turn...
