MARIA OLIVERO Singer/songwriter

Maria A. Olivero is an Italian singer/songwriter and also plays guitar, keyboards, harmonica and dulcimer. She collaborates with the English writer Matt Lindsay; her new Band is called "The Mad Rebels" (name dedicated to Rebel Rebel by David Bowie);

her voice is warm, strong and mellow ... her guitar is pulsates with a great sense of rhythm, her shows are powerful, dynamic, with an enthralling repertoire of live music of both rock'n'roll and blues influence also rock and country. She plays her original songs from the album and also some covers which have meant so much to her over the years, such artists inspire her like, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Joan Jett, The Runaways, The Ramones, Donovan, Elvis, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed ...

In the past she has had many different live-experiences.. blues/rock, country/folk/rock ... she had performance in many places, in and out of Italy; many festivals, club and prestigious theatres, at The Olimpic Theatre in Rome, at the Donizetti in Bergamo, at the Lingotto in Tourin; Recently she was on tour in Norway with the Bobband for the "Don't you dare miss it" Tour 2011; She has collaborated and played with many Musicians like Ruben Minuto, Rudolf Minuto, Andrea "Zingro" Zingrillo, Roy Einar Dreng, Jono Manson ...

In 2007 Maria and Matt Lindsay wrote Dreams behind the Tears, a song representing the spirit against child labor in agriculture. Maria unveiled the song publicly for the first time at the ILO annual event World Day against Child Labour on June 12, 2007 in Rome. An Event organized by ILO and FAO;

In 2009 she made her first album "Tunes along the Tumbleweed Trail" auto-produced by the country band Baton Rouge

Today Maria presents her project, Maria Olivero & The Mad Rebels, a new band,
a new sound of rock to present her music: her forthcoming "Anyway" album
(produced by Maria) written by Maria Olivero and Matt Lindsay; the first single of the album will be Breaking Away, a very rock'n'roll song about a free spirit running for his own "vision" ...
