Born Maressa Zahirah Abdul Manaff on the 28th May 1988, in Singapore to a Portugese-Pakistani mother(Fareda) and Javanese-Malay father(Manaff). She has two siblings, an older sister Marena and younger brother Merhan. Her mother was a dancer and her father was a band singer when they were younger.

Mainly influenced by her parents, R&B and pop artistes, Maressa is willing to try as many genres as possible, but is more fitted for R&B.

She began humming to tunes and singing theme songs to cartoons at the tender age of 3(Now remembering her favourite song to be "Captain Planet."), and had her first public performance during her kindergarten years at the age of 5.

She kept music and sports in her life by joining as many activities in school as she could. She performed with the Malay Cultural Dance club and school choir. She even performed with her friends for various concerts, singing songs from the Spice Girls and other pop groups.

In high school(secondary school), she began to perform on her own for many more concerts and graduation parties, and at the same time keeping up with her love for sports. Maressa also tried out for Singapore Idol and Talent Quest, but was ousted. It was during this time when Maressa realized her love for dance, as well!

In polytechnic, Maressa joined the Temasek Poly Dance Ensemble, performing Hiphop at a few concerts. Sadly, Maressa injured her knee very badly and has to cease her love for dance. During this time, Maressa tried out for Singapore Idol for the second time, and this time, she was ousted during the Top 80 round.

Shortly after leaving Polytechnic, Maressa decided to turn back to her love for singing and started leaving videos on an online-sharing website, YouTube.

Today, an MDIS(with Oklahoma City Uni) student, Maressa is still putting up videos and also performing publicly.
