Mara graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Musical Theatre in 2007. She is an Equity Membership Candidate, holds a Musical Theatre Merit Award from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and is SAG Eligible.

Mara recently made her Feature Film debut in the independent movie "Trophy Kids." Mara will appear as Girl in Club and the movie is due for release in early 2010. Some NYC readings include "Welcome to the Corn Palace" and "Wagon Wheel" (NYU), "The Dream Palace" (New World Stages)," The Four" (Prospect Theatre Co.) and Tess (York). As a cabaret soloist, Mara appeared at Monday Nights, New Voices (Duplex), True Story (Laurie Beechman) and the Parallax Theatre Company (Philadelphia). Regionally, Mara has worked for Forestburgh Playhouse, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Prince Music Theatre, Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Broward Stage Door Theatre and ReVision Theatre.

Mara's voice can be heard on Stage Stars Records' West Side Story ("Somewhere") and Mamma Mia! (Ali). She is a backup vocalist for the web series "The Battery's Down," recording for great writers such as Glenn Kelly, Lisa Lambert, Larry O'Keefe, Nick Blaemire & Sean Mahoney. Mara has also recorded vocal demos for composers Julia Meinwald and Ryan Scott Oliver.
