I run an independent record label called Iron Man Records, which is based in Birmingham England. The record label has been running since 1996 and in 2000 I set up the Birmingham Music Network which is also known as just The Music Network. Ive organised gigs in and around Birmingham since 1994 as Badger Promotions. I play in a band called Last Under The Sun and at present Im also playing guitar in another band called Police Bastard. I do tour management and driving to help bands out, write and maintain several music related blogs, and help bands with their online activities. I have done some lecturing at Birmingham City University as part of their Music Business degree course and I run a shop on ebay selling all sorts of good alternative music on cd or vinyl. I also enjoy a good game of mental chess with local funding organisations who try and pocket most of the money intended for struggling local musicians and creatives.

My name's Mark and i've been playing in bands, organising gigs, running a record label, swapping/trading records and driving the local post office staff mad for years.
I spend my time listening to music, answering emails and when i'm not stuck in a queue at the post office or staring at a computer screen, I put on gigs in Birmingham, England, run a record label called Iron Man Records and try and buy and sell good music from independent bands. Music is what keeps me alive, I used to trade tapes and then it moved on to vinyl and now cds. I've just discovered You tube so stay tuned for more videos on the way.
