I'm Makyla AKA Mikki. I'm Canadian, 21-years-old, and I just graduated from college last year (broadcast journalism.) I grew up in Santiago, Chile, South America, and si, puedo hablar espanol!! Living in an amazing latin country has really affected me positively and has helped shape me into who I am today. At this time I live in the Greater Toronto Area and am just trying to make ends meet. Still looking for work in my media field.

I am trying to get my music and myself out there using the world wide web. I have finally decided it is time to start networking. I have also finally decided enough is enough - I cannot keep listening to my own music thinking it is good without getting any other person's opinion. I grew up with people loving my vocals but that's not what I want an opinion on.

I want feedback on my style of music, my lyrics AND my vocals. I want to interact with other musicians and build a fan base.

Goals:
To host my own late night discussion radio show. Possible topics: CANADIAN HIP HOP: Does A Hip Hop Industry Even Exist? Is There Any Chance A Canadian Artist Can Work With a Canadian Label and Still Get Airplay? MAINSTREAM MUSIC: Why are more and more people disliking mainstream pop music but can't get it out of their heads? Why do radios play the same songs over and over again Why are musicians selling out to current trends just to get airplay and stay #1 on the charts? ROCK: Why did we let classical rock die out? AND THE LIST GOES ON.

To build a fan base, to join a music label/production and to get my music out there. I don't care if I don't become famous or wealthy. I would like my music on the radio, doesn't have to be on the top of the charts all the time or at all, I would like to tour and I would like to send out my positive messages; Be Yourself, Love Conquers Evil, Forgive But Never Forget, Stay Open-minded Always, Peace Not War, Freedom of Speech...
