Steampunk: What would happen if the technology of the 20th century was discovered in the 19th century? So instead of the electron and the microchip you got clockwork and steampower. Airships, weapons, vehicles, utilites even electronics, (typewriter), all steampower and clockwork. There's also the asthetic that goes with it, the clothing, dudes wearing corsettes and the woman write the letters. Goggles on the head, engineering gloves on the hands, a utility belt with guns, compasses and scopes. They are do-it-yourselfers, so a lot of their invention will be lined with brass and copper which are the main metals, so you will see the insides of their work. There's no covering up with plastics and pollyfiber's and it's a real nitty gritty genre.
