I started in Isshin-ryu before eventually going over to Shotokan, which I love, but I must admit to being very impressed by Uechi Sensei. He's probably the best Isshin-ryu practictioner I've seen (no disrespect to other Isshin-ryu folks intended).

I own a D-15, and I love it. I haven't played a better sounding guitar without having to get into instruments that cost two or three times as much. It has a wonderful, warm tone. It isn't as "bright" sounding as most of the Taylors I've putzed around with, but I prefer the Martin.

@IEKUKATAKA the film quality isn't very good, but I trained with Akiyama Sensei at MCAS Iwakuni for two years in the mid seventies, and it surely looks like him...I heard recently that Akiyama Sensei is in a hospice, and is not long for this earth. I will be saddened to hear of his passing.
@JesseusM Actually, Mr. Norris was one of the pioneers of full contact karate during the PKA days. Mr. Norris was an actor, but he was also a well-known point tournament competitor, full-contact competitor, and teacher. He was, and remains, a gentleman, which, judging by your language, is somethi...
