@bloodsuckerjohn Eddery is on record saying Dancing Brave was the best he rode. He did say as well it is a shame Golden Fleece never ran again after the Derby as he would of been an all time great as well.

came 10 horses wide and won by a comfy 2 length in the end. DB would of won every Arc ive seen since 84. Once shaken up he took 5 or 6 strides to hit top speed and then woosh he would pass everything over 1m2 or 4.

@sainglain you will also find RVW was about to draw level until Kinane clipped the nose of RVW with his whip to cause RVW to lose a length. Without that clip down the nose it would of been a photo and the judge needed. STS was better than RVW though no doubt.

Brilliant horse, best since Dancing Brave. If RVW didnt get the clip down the nose off Kinane this might of went to a photo IMO, RVW was just getting to STS. On this performance I dont think STS would of beat Dancing Brave though or one or two other Eclipse winners.

@jmdm1957 DB would of beat RP, you can see how close Tryptich got to RP twice and DB twice to see that.

@CDJDMAN we dont sectional times in races here sadly but i do know Dancing Brave has the fastest last furlongs in both the arc 11.2sec and derby 10.5secs (times off memory so i stand to be corrected).

@reno573 holy never beat mike twice in amatuers, tillman did but tyson was robbed in one of them fihgts for sure. holy and tyson never fought as amatuers.

Dancing Brave set a track record this day im sure, it may still stand to this day too. I stand to be corrected though.

@JRichardson92x the seats in between have that mesh netting over them, you cant thru it.

While Kauto was a great horse he couldnt beat Dessie. Imagine Kauto trying to run and jump 3 or 4 out with Dessie, he would be demoralised. Dessie would take a length out the field ever jump. Was still winning at age of 11. Give 2 stone away at times and won with lbs to spare. Won the Gold cup 2 ...
