The Maine Llama Association is a membership of nearly 100 lama enthusiasts, owners, and breeders dedicated to the care and promotion of these gentle, intelligent, and inquisitive members of the camelid family. The lama with one "L" family includes four South American cousins: vicunas, guanacos, llamas, and alpacas. Most of the farms in the organization own llamas, but we also have several farms that own alpacas. You eed not own either to share our love of lamas and to belong to the Maine Llama Association. We are dedicated to educating the general public and new owners regarding the care and characteristics unique to lamas.
