Nothing's gonna change my world...

I'm a 30 year old freelance photographer/ web & graphic designer from Montreal. I'm currently taking distance courses to earn my degree as a professional Web designer. Musically-speaking, I have been singing professionally since the age of 8 and playing bass guitar for 6 years. I very recently got back into guitar and started reworking some old songs, as well as composing some new ones. Music has been my strongest passion in life since I was old enough to consciously listen to it. The Beatles were always my favorite band; I've felt connected to their phenomenal music from as early as 3 years old. Paul McCartney has been my hero ever since... I had many an imaginary conversation with him as a child. I hope to shake his hand one day... They each have their own special spot in my heart however... such a beautiful group of people. :) As a matter of fact, John's name is tattooed right over my heart. Another hero of mine... one who was taken from us too soon.

Whatever means I can get my hands on, be it recycling old garments into a new one, weaving a necklace, or capturing moments in time on a beautiful sunny day in the Plateau or Botanical Gardens with my camera... I love expressing my artistic side. I also absolutely love to travel, although I haven't had many opportunities to do so... yet. ;) Although something as simple as a spontaneous road trip is something I absolutely love. As much as I'd love to see the world, finding a beautiful spot for a picnic is as appealing to my quest for the unknown. I have a huge soft spot for nature and the countryside.... particularly apple orchards or open meadows...

I feel as though I've crawled out of a time machine most of the time... I am trapped in the 1960s! I love everything about the era, from the fashion to the music. The 50s have grown on me recently as well, which is no surprise... With a name like "Lisa-Marie", it's pretty apparent that I was born into rock 'n' roll (I was named after Elvis' daughter). My ideal evening? Burning some incense, listening to some vintage records, enjoying a bottle of red wine and indulging in deep conversation. Perhaps the term to describe me would be "bohemian". In a nutshell, I'm the type of person to whom integrity reigns, and I find myself alienated within an immediate society of people afraid to be true to themselves. Of course, I speak in generalities because I don't know absolutely everyone out there who surrounds me... but I just feel as though my tastes... my overall being is on the rather unique and particular side. I'm not at all posh about it... It may come off as slightly snotty, but I assure you, I'm very down-to-earth and easy to approach. I love meeting new like-minded people. I do have quite the sense of humor as well... It doesn't take long for people to get a glimpse of my sarcastic side. I love dry humor.

All in all, I'm not a complicated girl. I have a constant hunger for knowledge, a thirst to expand my consciousness, to express myself and for happiness.
