About this user

A self-taught artist, I enjoy painting and creating unique one-of-a-kind art pieces based on whatever strikes my mood at the time. Everything and everyone inspires me and what I do know for sure is that I'm complex, I love all things art and travel many roads of exploration in art and technique to fulfill my curiosity. I create functional and decorative art and I take the Eco-friendly approach to my painting.

A series of health challenges forced me to change my lifestyle to a non-toxic, chemical and allergen free home to the clothing I wear. The way I create my art was affected from not being able to paint with traditional oil paints to certain varnishes. It has been a challenge but, it has also inspired me to create my art in a way that others who suffer from illnesses like myself can enjoy and live with art and decorative functional pieces that do not release toxic gases from paints and varnishes to organic fabrics that I use for all my soft furnishings and fabric art. Taking the eco-ethical and sustainable practice path is the best approach for my family and clients.

Recycling weathered pieces, refurbishing them and giving each piece a new beginning, finding artistic ways to upcycle items that would other wise be in a land fill somewhere is a great way to help our environment. I think of my art as pure design, eco-friendly,decorative art pieces that look beautiful in a home or office setting.

My art experience is varied: Oils, acrylics, watercolors, decoupage, decorative painting, painted tile, keepsake boxes, sewing pillows, hand bags, window treatments, tapestries, heirloom dolls, floor cloths for both residential and commercial clients. I design and paint with fun and great passion. My love of color, texture, textiles are evident in what I create and my desire to educate my clients, family and friends on the importance of living an eco-friendly life is just as important and passionate.
