My Sensei at that time was 7th dan.
What do you think is wrong with uke?

Nice work. The only one I didn't really like was Gyakugamae Ate as the arms ended too low and not "unbendable".
I did like the flow of the first few with the tanto.

It's a slightly different set of techniques than we have for Koryu Dai San No Kata. And, as always with different dojos, slightly different approaches to the techniques. Especially kote kujiki (sp?)

That was an interesting training tool for learning big falls (holding on to a kneeling partner's jacket). I might give that a try.

Interesting.
A slightly different approach to teaching the movement. We teach that you need to move your center first in the direction you want to go as opposed to pushing with the quad of the appropriate leg.

SenseiStrange, I have the exact same questions in that regards.
It's interesting seeing another Tomiki school's approach to the techniques. We don't stop at ma-ai, we continue the attack. Also, the controls at the end of some of the techniques differ. For instance, we have a control at the end of shihonage in Ju Nana Hon Kata, but not in Owaza Ju Pon.
I thought I'd posted our approach to them online, but apparently not. I'll have to see if I have one available.

If you think it's fake, I probably can't dissuade you. His uke does not give up anything for free, I guarantee you.
Also, the tori (or nage) is legally blind.

It's interesting seeing how different approaches to the same techniques can be.
