29 years old and hearing myself for the 1st time!
I was born deaf and 8 weeks ago I received a hearing implant. This is the video of them turning it on and me hearing myself for the first time :) ...

people who are deaf learn to read lips and enunciate/project sound through the vibrations emitted by the larynx. (I could tell she wasn't used to enunciating quite like a person who wasn't born deaf - her speech was less fluid.)
