Don't rail on it for its MSRP being $1650, you can get it on Amazon or Tiger Direct for $1300, plus it's not a Mac, so it doesn't suck.

You are wrong about the "jump" in the processors. The processor doesn't cost more on either of the systems. On the customization websites it says "ADD $xxx" not how much it costs. So to go from a lower processor to a better processor just costs the difference in the price of the processors.
