About mactcampbell
My name is Mac Campbell. I come from Campbell's Creek, a small village on the Port au Port Peninsula in Newfoundland. I currently reside in Port Hawkesbury, Cape Breton, NS. My father's people (his grandfather) came to Newfoundland from the Margaree Harbour area in Cape Breton. His was one of sereral families that brought their music and instruments with them to Newfoundland. I play a mixture of Scottish, Irish, Acadian, and Newfoundland music. I've played in every province except BC. Hopefully I'll make it there someday.
Marcellin Chiasson, the guitar player, is originally from Northeast Margaree in Cape Breton. He has been a personal friend of mine for over 30 years.
