Wow, great tone! how is the intonation as there is no real individual string adjustment. I just got one on Ebay today and was planning on swapping out the pickups to SD's now I think I'll wait for a while and try it out first

I have both. A Gibson has a shorter scale so is easier to play as the strings are under less tension. A Gibson weighs a lot more than a strat or tele so the Gibson naturally has more sustain.
Fenders have that "quack" ability that single coils allow.
