I appreciate the comment, but feel a clarification is needed in case you may have thought I was defending or opposing the matter. Actually the crux of my statement was that the opposing side probably thinks the same and therefore delivers a difficult but perfect standpoint from which one can work out his/her beliefs on the issue of Prop8. My intention was not from a side, but an objective remark. Further, my comment was geared at young new voters and not you in particular. :)

To me this is a matter of conscience and therefore personal. It is up to each person to weigh the matters on both sides and not blindly join either bandwagon. Carefully, consider the ramifications of either decision. Read the text of Prop8 for yourself and also listen to arguments made by well-informed speakers on both sides of the issue. Notice I didn't say the loudest speaker, as more often than not truth is protected by a bodyguard of lies. Right decisions are NOT the most apparent.

I believe that the opposite is the same. Those that are for Prop8 believe that those against it are misinformed and unaware of the message of God. The real question is who is right? I think that is the real heart of the matter, and the true position from which to make a conscientious decision or vote.
