It makes no sense, the only appeal to a "slide/scribble" approach would be the possibility of inputing without having to use your eyes. But there's already Graffiti, which is pretty intuitive..., while this weird 8 pen concept would imply in memorizing 4 x 2 groups, each with a 4 level hierarchy!...
