Great applications, but may I ask why it's called "93 guard"?

As a Judoka I'm not too bummed that he got the name wrong...I am a little surprised about the claim that he could "beat any judoka"

now i'm no MMA mega fan but I don't believe he has ever even fought a judoka...on a side note i do like Rashad

My favorite fight....Akiyama's throws were perfect and Leben's spirit unmatched.

@TheCHEVYNATOR i use the heel hook all the time and have never given anyone a serious injury, as long as you have a partner who knows when to tap you're fine..

actually BJJ is an offshoot of Judo which is an offshoot of JJJ....Judo is older but not by very long...BJJ was just spawned because a guy was too weak to throw well so he came up with a different focus for Judo...pretty cool story if you ever get some time to look into it.

on the flip side though for beginners i think the one he is showing would be easier...see the standard kata guruma that ou described may be easier but only to someone who already gets the idea of movement and driving into the throw...the version he shows forces you to do it al...

why argue Judo vs Bjj. they're both cool. just pick one you can't go wrong.

I agree that people are too against BJJ....i personally do Judo but either way you need grappling...however don't discredit pressure points...i've done full contact sparring against someone who used pressure point tactics and let me tell ya...not easy to win when you cant move you...
