I love to study Bible prophecy. And thru studying God's word, it is obvious to me that we are coming VERY close to the return of Christ. Everything prophesied thousands of years ago are happening right now. I wanted to use this channel to share my faith with others as we all struggle together, not only through everyday challenges, but through major changes as the world spins towards the tribulation.

Jesus, the greatest man in history, had no servants, yet they called him Master; had no degree, yet they called him Teacher; had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him; he won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified him; he was buried in a tomb, yet he lives today.

I have been through a lot in my life ... and I would always question God why. But I think it was to strenghten me for a time such as this. For a time when I could confidently share my faith with those around me, and to help others who have faced or are facing the same issues that I had to deal with ... so that we can all overcome together through our faith in Jesus Christ.

I knew when God saved my life as a very young child, that He had a plan for my life. I nearly died from encephalitis when I was just over a year old, but God carried me through. Then at the age of 11, as I was going through my physical for 6th grade, the doctor found severe scoliosis. It was so severe that sugery was necessary ... a long metal rod was attached to my spine and I could no longer bend my back. Kids are really cruel at that age. I went through a lot as I headed back to school in a body brace. I hated it. And looking back on that now ... I keep wondering (and this is something of which I have no proof), I lived within a 15-mile radius of Three Mile Island during the major radioactive event, living on a farm drinking raw milk and eating the field-grown vegetables. That was in 1979 ... I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis in 1980. In that year-and-a-half time frame I had this crazy growth spurt. No one in my family ever had scoliosis before that. I've always wondered if my deformity had something to do with that event (which was alot worse than the media ever reported) ... BUT ... again God carried me through.

I've leaned on Him on so many occasions in my adult life, as well. I married young, at the age of 18, and started a family at 20. My first marriage ended, however, due to physical abuse. I then remarried several years later, wanting NEVER to go through divorce again. Divorce goes against everything I believe in. But after several years, I found out that my husband was sexually abusing our own child ... and our life was turned upside down in one day. If it had not been for my faith, I don't know where my children and I would be. It is SO important to find a local church so that you have people around you to lift you up in those times.

My whole purpose, for awhile, was just making sure that my children were okay. I needed God for strength to get me through, not only divorce proceedings, but legal issues as well. When it was over, I fell into a deep depression. But I never stopped leaning on the Lord.

In the middle of all of this was a disability that was getting worse and worse. I went through several MAJOR spinal reconstructive surgeries ... the last one being at Johns' Hopkins. It was getting so bad, and they were the only ones who could help. I've gone from one single rod along my spine to now many, many screws, rods, pins, etc. My spine is now even fused into my pelvic bone, leaving only movement in my neck. During all of this I depended on higher and higher doses of Oxycontin, which became addictive. I honestly thought at times that I was going to die from withdrawal symptoms when I had to go without for even one day. But again God carried me through. He sent me to the best specialists in the country. He then, through a series of events, sent me to a Christian pain management doctor. She helped me to find an alternative to the narcotic pain meds, which is a machine that was surgically implanted, called a spinal stimulator. I am now free from all narcotics! Breaking that addiction was one of the hardest things I have ever done! I would have never been able to get through this if it were not for God. I am now hoping that God will send me a way to get back to a better, healthier life. I struggle each day now with chronic pain in my neck ... I guess arthritis has set in. I'm looking for natural ways to help my body now, instead of relying on dangerous meds sold to us by big pharma (who I DON'T TRUST at all)!!!!

If anyone else is going through these same issues, please know that God is always with you and He will guide you through whatever you are facing, if you lean on Him. You are never alone!
