I tried the ALICE, it was somewhat uncomfortable. The straps remind me of the backpack i recently ditched (belgian flecktarn alice). Built like a tank but the lack of the chest strap made carrying anything over 60-75 pounds uncomfortable. I need to try and see a Hellcat alice pack

I got a kick that you regretted not having a small tent. I found that to be the case for me. I tried using a poncho/tarp and then a pup tent. I just went for a small 1 man tent. Nice series bro
