@TheEverandever I've never played Silent Hill, but I've watched some videos of it, and they all show fixed camera angles inside the buildings.

8:25 - I *THINK* if you run through the door fast enough, you can catch a glimpse of a Skarj running away. I know you can see one at some point on the ship.

9:00 - That first gun has unlimited ammo, even when it's expanded. It regenerates, as you can see at 9:52 after shooting the glass.

Try playing it on the normal difficulty. I don't think it's even possible to beat the boss. You don't have enough ammo to do it from a distance and it's not safe to get up close enough to use the shotguns.

For the final boss, the Ancient One is a pushover!

I had the Anger from the previous level, so I unloaded the minigun on him. Got his life down to about half. Then hid behind the rock with the Anger on it. Grabbed it and then used the Death Ray. :)

If you look left from the bridge at 7:08, you'll see a pole between two buildings. I used the Death Ray on him. I climbed the ladder and hit behind the structures on the roof so that he couldn't get behind me. The Death Ray fires instantly and keeps him from reacting. I got hit very little.

This level has a serious bug in it, at least for me;

If you load a saved game, the doors at 1:07 won't open! Let's say that you save at the start of the level and then quit for the day. When you reload that save, you'll be stuck, unless you use the mpclip cheat to get through them.

5:19 - I can't believe you kept the pistols and the Mac10s over the assault rifle! It's more accurate than the Mac10s and has a grenade launcher.

2:08 - Howitzer, most under-powered weapon ever!

6:31 - If you jump on top of those crates, you can get on top of the dumpster and then climb a ladder to the rooftops. More of a novelty really, since there's nothing up there, and being on top of the buildings won't protect you from the behemoth.

If you use the sniper riffle against the drudge lords, it's possible to keep them from firing. The trick is that you have to keep hitting them in the head only. When they lower their head to spit a fireball, shoot them again and they'll rear back without firing.

Personally, I find the best way to deal with zealots is with the flare guns. Usually one double shot is all it takes to kill them. @magnusm4 It depends on the enemy. With the fanatics (the soldiers), yes. With weaker enemies, like the cultists, if you get the first shot, you can almost always kill them without getting hit.

I ran this game on a Windows 98 system with DirectX 9c. It crashed quite a bit in the later levels though. I've been told by others that it worked fine under XP for them.

At 4:18 when you drop into the fireplace from the secret, the fire can hurt you (you hear him start to scream in the video), but yet if you walk into the fireplace from the ground, it doesn't hurt you at all.

How are you even supposed to see where you're going with the view set so high? It's like they don't want you to be able to see what's ahead of you.

One criticism though: The stark white contact lenses with the black pupil in the center looked out of place with the otherwise realistic makeup. I think it would have looked better with just normal eyes in the beginning and then completely cloudy eyes toward the end.

@APyleOfVinyl CGA doesn't look good on anything, due to the putrid colors that the designers chose to include.

In the rings, always aim for the SECOND ring, not the one directly ahead of you. Having a map of the APC level really helps. Figure out where your marines are and get them to the same screen. There's safety in numbers!

There were three data disks available for this game, each with two additional opponents on them. Two of the disks had female opponents and one had male players.

They made updated versions for newer systems, but the women seemed to get less attractive with each new version.

Is it really that choppy, or just a bad recording?
