My name is Luke Jordan Urice graduated from Frostburg State University with Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in May 2010 majored in illustration and painting with a minor in art history. I also do graphic design and i am most skilled in oil paint, pen and ink. Also doing airbrush work. I want to get my masters degree from somewhere soon. Maybe WVU. Livin' at home with my folks my whole life in the first building ever built in Keyser, The Old Stone House AKA Wind Lea. My older brother Logan lives down the street with my nephew & niece, and I have a lot of other family that live in Keyser. I like the 90's and the styles of that time, and I don't like tattoos or piercings on me although I think they look fine on some people. I'm 5'6", 140 lbs. & right handed. I quit cigarettes two years ago after smoking for about ten years.

I'm really interested in people's last names and what they mean. Urice is Hebrew for "Light or Bright", and was the name of a small town in present day Ukraine, where many Jews settled and many Urices were killed during the German occupation of. Many of the survivors fled to England, perhaps that is how eventually the Urice's ended up in America? I found the name Uri in the Bible which is similar to my last name, Urice, and is Hebrew for "My Light", which is also similar to the meaning of my name. Uri who was a son of Judah, who was one of the twelve sons of Israel/Jacob, so I feel related to the Jews lol. I also do not eat pork, and I rarely drink soda. My mother's maiden name, Everett, is German-English & was originally Eberhard meaning "Hard/Strong as a Wild Boar". My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Shillingburg, an Americanized version of the German Schellenberg, which is a habitational name of various places in Germany&Switzerland named Schellenberg. I also discovered a Schellenberg coat of arms and that Schel is German for noisy or loud. My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Booth which is English and means a shepherd who lived in a small hut. Booth also has a coat of arms. My fam is also Irish&Native American so I've heard.

I think I'm easy to get along with but I watch alot of CNN&I love politics&debate. I'm an Obama supporter and now that Republicans have the House they need to be more than the party of No and they should be ashamed protecting the super rich. I'm not saying everyone on Wall St. and all corporations are evil, but they have done great the last ten years while we middle class have had hard times. I know they are the job creators and all that but where are the jobs? Republicans & Tea Partiers in the house should be ashamed for spreading lies and fear about obamacare, and ashamed for electing Bush who put us in all this debt and recession. I'm pro choice for abortion. I do not want anybody to get an abortion but if you make it illegal ppl will go to back alley abortionist or some other unsafe way. I do Not believe in the death penalty & I believe marriage should be between a man & a woman, but gays should be allowed in military without having to hide who they are. I support HR 2306! stand up for your rights! be against a nanny state and avoid martial law. I'm not a saint but I do believe in the virgin Mary & that she gave birth and that God created the Earth in six days. I believe in evolution And creation, but I can't stand Sarah Palin and her attitude. I don't go out too much to bars/clubs too often, I like to drink in the sun during the day usually. The Old Stone house AKA Wind Lea was built in 1815 by Irish man Edward McCarty & sons. Edward McCarty's father, Patrick McCarty, came here from Ireland with Wendell Millar. Patrick & Wendell were attacked by Indians under leadership of "Killbuck." Patrick was killed instantly, and Wendell was later burned at the stake! Keyser was at one point called Pattytown, named after Patrick McCarty.
