About Me:
Brent Lundy has become one of the most prominent musicians of the scene in Columbia, South Carolina. A 2007 article by renown music writer Kevin Oliver noted that, "Every one of Lundy's bands has had the advantage of his considerable songwriting talents."
As front-man for the Ultraviolets, his songs received praise and citations from critics. In addition, he worked with many renowned artists such as Hootie's Mark Bryan, the Connells' Steve Potak, and Peter Holsapple of the Continental Drifters. The Ultraviolets released a total of three albums: Down South Night Club (1999), Ultraviolets (2000), and Butterfly to a Blowtorch (2001).
During this formative phase, Brent Lundy joined with Donnie Scearce, a seasoned guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. The pair proved quite a songwriting talent and team, continuing their collaboration once the Ultraviolets disbanded.
Lundy has more recently worked with such greats as Kenny Aronoff, Phil Xenidis, Roger Manning, Chris Chaney and the legendary Steve Churchyard. Lundy's song Overflow is currently being featured in the new Billboard Award-nominated iPhone application, MixMeIn
