I loved the powerful time during the 1990s. Got to listen to Pearl Jam practicing at NAF Studios, played through a massive Soundgarden bass amp, and drank a beer with the late Layne Staley of Alice in Chains - even tried on his sunglasses (oooooh-ahhhhh). No reality show or manufactured artists. You wrote and played originals, performed everywhere for anybody, even if you were still learning...like I was.
If you like Chris Cornell, check out his latest MSN concert - amazing voice still - it's primal and possessing. Though not grunge, check out Alter Bridge in my Video Log - Myles Kennedy has an amazing vocal range that nods to the great Cornell in their song "Find the Real". (in my Log)
Peace.
