About this user
Luftbrücke identifies with Elia Mercanzin's solo project which follows a 8-year experience as a rock drummer.
Since 2002, after discovering the potential of home recording, he has devoted his energy to original music creation, trying to fulfil his dream of complete control over the songs, going beyond any stylistic boundary.
Challenging his own creativity and his naive technical skills, he started singing, performing and recording each instrument on his own (except drums, for logistic reasons), looking for the best mix between reality and virtuality.
Each song of the 3 albums completed so far ("Scratch the surface", 2003, "From November to October", 2004, "Ego Te Absolvo", 2006, all downloadable from day #1 with no-profit purposes on the web) shows different styles under a recognizable major Luftbrucke-style.
Luftbrucke paintS his musical canvas with dark and glittering gradients, new wave reminiscences, cross-style arrangements, cold multy-layered synth pop textures, rough and punky vocals, minimalism and hard-rock propelled visceral fragments of poetry.
Right after "November to October" release, Luftbrucke started planning the live dimension of his music recruiting a bunch of no paid "volunteers" musicians coming from different musical backgrounds and experiences, spreading from the techno-dance scene to extreme metal, with rock-blues and pop in the middle.
All that is definitely coherent with Luftbrucke's open-minded policy.
Luftbrucke is based in Padova, Veneto region, North-east of Italy.
