Biography
As a kid, Lucki Lus had a very wide imagination and was very curious, and like many curious kids, he found his way into the world of music. Born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he was exposed to the great Bob Marley, who influenced him to fall in love with the local sound of reggae music. However, Lucki Lus chose not to limit himself to one genre. Understanding that the one common thread between the many nations of the world was a love and appreciation for rhythm and melody, he started exploring different cultures of music. He was fascinated with the melodies and emotions that other cultures highlighted, and broadened his musical taste to cover everything from Rock to Dancehall. Excited to be a true student of music, an opportunity presented itself when he was able to travel to different countries to perform.
Through his travels and experiences, Lucki Lus has come to understand just how wide the field of imagination spans in the world of music. He says that the difference between a good song and a great song is braverybravery to truly venture into your own creative mind and allow yourself not only to unlock real creativity, but then to be able to utilize it fully and completely without inhibition.
Using this principal knowledge, Lucki Lus has developed and matured his own unique sound and is ready to deliver it to the world. The sound that he has created fills a unique gap in the industry. He creates a smooth transition between the sounds of dancehall, reggae, and hip-hop, the same way that disco filled the gap between rocknroll, jazz, and rap nearly 40 years ago. He delivers a unique blend of melodies that will be appreciated by music lovers internationally.
Even though his musical journey has only just begun, Lucki Lus has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of reggaes top artists, including Tarrus Riley, Duane Stephenson, Dean Frasier, Ravon, Red Fox, Sqeechie Dan, Bounty Killer, Movado, and many more. He looks forward to exploring different sounds and creating unique musical combinations for many years to come. Lucki Lus is truly the lustah to make you flustah
