About Lua Hadar
Vocalist Lua Hadar moves from concert to jazz club to stage, switching languages, ranges and styles at will. As a comedienne, she's been compared to Martha Raye, as a singer, she's been compared to both Abbe Lane and Yma Sumac. She performs on stage in musical theatre, in cabarets with solo piano, and most passionately, with her band TWIST. Her latest CD, Lua Hadar with Twist, debuted to acclaim at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York, which was succeeded by the band's international debut at the Bangkok International Festival of Dance & Music, to an audience of 2000. She made her Paris debut in July 2009 at the Swan Bar, and has been seen at many of San Francisco's best venues, including the Fairmont Hotel. Her recent sold-out show (French Connection) at San Francisco's Rrazz Room, demonstrated her skills as a great communicator, no matter what the language.
