You need to watch more at night. Most track opertions happen then. Aqua train operates mainly in the fall mostly to clean the oil off the rail from the fallen leaves.

Besides the Solder wick you can also use (and I have used many times) a solder sucker. Gives a board nice clean area. Perfect when you need to remove the solder from a hole where a componet like a resistor or capacitor was...
