About Me: Russian born Israeli pianist ROMAN ZASLAVSKY is recognized by international audiences, critics and colleagues alike as one of the next generations foremost emerging artists. The Scottish "Herald" was impressed by his performance calling it "...A touch of dynamite, flamboyant, swashbuckling, a sensation. The British press praised him in Strad magazine, saying that Mr. Zaslavsky is a pianist with exceptional virtuosity, the Canadian Toronto Star wrote that his performance was marvelous, German Badische Neueste Nachrichten referred to him as a virtuoso keyboard lion.

Roman Zaslavsky has the reputation of being a musician with a highly intellectual approach and passionate interpretation. His performances on international stages include among many others Laeiszhalle (Musikhalle) Hamburg, Recital Hall of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Palau de la Musica in Barcelona and Valencia, the Salle Gaveau in Paris and the Tel-Aviv Museum of Arts.

Mr. Zaslavskys highlights in 07/08 and 08/09 include, among others, performances of Rachmaninovs concerto No. 2 with the Budapest Radio Symphony Orchestra under Laszlo Kovacs at the famous festival "Ediecigiornate di Brescia" in Brescia, Italy and in Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova under Michail Jurowski, Beethovens concerto No. 5 in Saarbrücken, Germany with the State Symphony Orchestra of Saarland under Constantin Trinks, concerts with the Brussels Philharmonic under Michel Tabachnik, and tours with the Budapest National Radio Symphony Orchestra under Laszlo Kovacs. He gives solo recitals in Israel and in Latin America and duo recitals with cellist Gavriel Lipkind in Hamburg Musikhalle, Frankfurts Hessischer Rundfunk, and on tour in Holland and Japan, where he performed in May 2008 among others in the prestigious Oji Hall in Tokyo. His recent appearances in the Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid with the North Hungarian Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Laszlo Kovacs as well as in the famous Kitara Hall in Sapporo during the last concert tour in Japan has been emphatically celebrated by critics. Roman Zaslavsky has been often invited to such famous festivals as Ediecigiornate di Brescia in Italy, Klara Festival in Belgium, Zeister Muziekdagen in Holland and Gaia Festival in Switzerland.

Mr. Zaslavsky is a top prizewinner of the renowned international piano and chamber music competitions. In the year 2000 he was the only Winner of the "Vendome Prize" International Piano Competition in Cologne and was awarded the prestigious Primer Grand Premio at the "Jose Iturbi" International Piano Competition in Valencia.Roman Zaslavsky won also the 4th prize at the "Citta die Senigallia International Piano Competition" in Italy and the 2nd prize at the "3rd Hamamatsu Academy International Piano Competition in Japan. Together with Gavriel Lipkind he was awarded the 3rd prize and the Special Prize for the best Interpretation of a Brahms Sonata at the "Trio di Trieste" International Chamber Music Competition and the 3rd prize at the "V. Gui" International Chamber Music Competition in Italy.
