Lowry (born Lauri Pihlap) is a popartist who's been strongly influenced by r&b,soul,hip-hop and rock music. This singer/songwriter/producer has been active in the Estonian music scene for almost 12 years.
In the summer of 2000, Lowry joined the r&b group Soul Militia.
In May 2001, they won the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen alongside Tanel Padar and Dave Benton with their hit "Everybody"
Soul Militia was given the opportunity to perform as the opening act for Lenny Kravitz on his "Electric Church Tour" concert in Tallinn, Estonia in 2005. Soul Militia has released 2 albums ("On The Rise", 2002 and "Silence Before The Storm", 2004) and 9 singles.
Their 2003. music video for the song "Freak In Me" won the "Golden Record" best video award for 2 consecutive years ( in 2004 & 2005).

Lowry began pursuing a solocareer in the spring of 2007 with his debut single "Breathe".
By the end of the year his debut album "Split Personality" was released. All 13 tracks on the album were written by Lowry.
In 2008 Lowry had the opportunity to perform as the opening act for US r&b stars Rihanna and Sean Kingston.
In less than 3 years Lowry has released a studio album, 7 singles and 3 music videos. Currently he's working in the studio on his 2nd album, scheduled to be released this year.
