Jonathan K. Mompererousse, better known by his stage name b.best, had a pretty average childhood. His mother was a nurse and his father was a factory worker. He grew up on Ocean Ave, Brooklyn NY and attended two private schools there: Hebron SDA and Brooklyn S.D.A. His parents separated while he was still in grade school and for a while it seemed like that would be the only thing in his life different from the norm. But in high school, everything changed. Jonathan started high school the usual way, made a few friends, skipped a few classes and listened to way too much music. However, Jonathan introduced to something much more eminent, free styling. At first, he used it as a way to kill time and get closer to his friends, but soon he was practicing and trying to improve. He listened to artists like Lil' Wayne, Biggie, Jadakiss. He had to "prove he had what it took." To who? To himself, and the partner he would meet at Farmingdale College, Nick Casillas.
Nick Casillas also known by his stage name skillz, was born in Vineland New Jersey. His mom left when he was a boy but this did not stop his passion for art, sports and poetry. Nick listened to artists like Eminem, Lil' Wayne, Fabulous and Dmx. He dreamed of one day making it big, but more importantly he dreamed of being able to help people when they needed it the most.

Nick met Jonathan at a free-style exhibition outside of his school. The two men clicked over their passion for rapping. Though Nick focused more on the serious issued and Jon on his quirky style, they both knew that this was a group that could make it. They formed 2oK and got right to work. The style of music is eclectic, not focusing on any one genre; it just "has to feel right." Judging from the strong partnership and the new mixed tape I think everyone would agree it feels pretty damn good.
