@realghengisThis is from before Scary Monsters. Tom wrote it. Bowie liked the song, got permission, and did a cover. Tom Verlaine and Television are musician's musicians. This is Tom Verlaine's song. It is from around 78 or 79. I remember when it when I was a teen. Google it and find out.

@uversa777 I like this version. I also think that Tom Verlaine's is better, so maybe this is Bowie's way of covering the song: doing it nearly exactly the way Tom did since there is no better way to perform it.

@BggProductions vinyl required so much care and a steady hand AND if you were stoned or wasted (like so many of us were in the vinyl era), you wake up finding records all scratched and buggered. I LOVE CDs. Today, vinyls are more valuable as collectables in original packaging.
