Louisville AIDS Walk, Kentucky's largest annual HIV/AIDS fundraising and awarenesss event, unites the community in the local fight against AIDS! Each year families, friends, faith-based organizations, students, volunteers and businesses from all over Louisville and Southeast Indiana come to show their support and bring awareness to the AIDS epidemic in our community. About Me:
The proceeds from each year's Walk are allocated to a diverse group of organizations based on their requests for funding for vital, direct, hands on services administered by their agencies like medical care, food, housing, counseling, transportation to and from appointments, case management, legal assistance, support groups, emergency financial assistance and educational workshops for local people who are struggling with HIV.
Supporting the Louisville AIDS Walk ensures that local HIV/AIDS services remain available to people living with the HIV virus. We are a 501(c)3 Public Charity so donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our organization, officially AIDS Services Center Coalition doing business as Louisville AIDS Walk, was recently reviewed by the Better Business Bureau's Charity Review Service. We are proud to report that the BBB has determined that we meet all 20 of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance's Standards for Charity Accountability. You can find us on GuideStar where we are have been verified by their "Charity Check" program.
Louisville AIDS Walk Mission Statement: "To Raise Awareness and Funds for local HIV/AIDS Service Organizations through education, marketing and promotional activities and through participation of walkers and volunteers in a safe, fun, educational event."
