CANNONBALL - 1958 - Paul Birch, William Campbell - Opening & Closing credits Canadian made show

Available at www.robertsvideos or at 1-800-440-2960. Rare Canadian TV show

    lotsofcases lotsofcases commented:

@KevinJKtheman I haven't forgotten it - used to watch it in the early 60s when I was a kid. Today's the first that I have heard that theme song since then! The show was significant to me because it talked about places that weren't far away from where I grew up - e.g. Mount Forest in another cli...

dyno of our 1940 case dc with high altitude pistons....made 38hp

    lotsofcases lotsofcases commented:

Don't think Case called these DC4's in 1940, more likely is a DH. DC4's had the sliding rear wheels like the DC's (what use that was I don't know since the front axle was fixed on them).

    lotsofcases lotsofcases commented:

Case didn't make D's until 1939 and this one is even newer than that. The 1939 D's had their instruments mounted in little pods on either side of the steering wheel shaft instead of on a panel at the fuel tank like this, and the clutch lever was on the right side that year like the C's were.

Antique McCormick Farmall or possibly Case tractor at a tractor pull

    lotsofcases lotsofcases commented:

model DC Case, I could pretty much tell from the sound of it right at the start of the clip. D's have a rather distinctive sound to my ears. Looks like an earlier model because it has the oil screen in the sump, later ones don't because they have oil filters.

lucky you, my uncle's ih 37 baler used to miss knots whenever the knotters got too filled up with chaff. Nice tractor! What is the serial number? If the S/N plate is missing on the dash, check on the engine to transmission flange on the left side of the tractor beside the air cleaner, the S/N is stamped there too. Then subtract 4 from the first 2 digits of it to get the year.

    Case SC Conversion

How to convert a standard negitive ground tractor from the origional 6-volt system to the much more functional 12-volt system.

    lotsofcases lotsofcases commented:

if your tractor has lights you will need 12V bulbs in them too. As for negative vs positive ground it makes no difference to anything on the tractor so long as you hook the battery up correctly (i.e. negative grounded alternator needs the battery negative post connected to ground).

    Canadian Accents FTW!!!

    lotsofcases lotsofcases commented:

your accent actually sounds like NS or NB at times... As for bagged milk we have had it in Ontario since before Canada went Metric for weights and measures in the late '70's - first bags were quart size now they are 1-1/3 litres so the new bags don't fit in the old quart pitchers.
