MY HISTORY:
June-August 2006: 224lbs down to 205-210.
January 2007: 210 down to 196. My weight after that was always from 194-200.
August 2008: back up past 200s. It scared me.
January-March 2009: I was all the way back up to 216. I could not believe it. I had allowed myself to gain tons of weight in a period of 4 months. This is when I decided that my life had to change. By March I was down to 194 again. Then I just tried to maintain between 190-194.
May to June 2009: I went from 194, down to 184-185. I had to make a choice: was I going to accept being unhealthy for the rest of my life? Or was i going to change? I chose to never give up. I decided that I was sick of being between 190- low 200s. That I would NOT stay that way for the rest of my life. I was sick enough to TRY HARD NOT JUST DAY DREAM. It felt absolutely incredible. Seeing an 8 next to that 1 instead of a 9 was one of the greatest accomplishments of my entire life. I had been stuck for what felt like forever, and I did it! I accomplished my big goal.
June-July 2009: Maintained. I was part of a rigorous academic summer fellowship and had no time. Then I got lazy and got in a rut. However, I knew I was going to follow through with my choice from May and take things to the next level.
August 2009: Reached 180. My crazy summer program was over.
September 2009: I wanted to break out of the 180s so badly but week after week I was disappointed. Instead of losing steadily, I kept going from 180 back to185. BUT I WAS PAST THE POINT OF WISHING. I WANTED THIS.
On September 20th , 2009 I decided it was enough. What seemed impossible was going to be possible. I WAS CAPABLE OF DOING THIS. That's when this youtube challenge started with me at 180.
