R.I.P Thomas

You were unique.

I miss you.

"I'm sorry to inform you that Thomas, better known as "19BuddhasHell94" or "Budd" as some

of you knew him, had recently passed away.

On April the 6th, after his soccer practice, he went down town with a couple of hes

friends to buy a new microphone for his band "Pattons Sons". A few minutes after they

arrive, they were intercept bu a couple of thiefswith knifes so the boys gave them there

belongings like money, cell-phones and watches.
But aparently the thiefs were under the influence of some drug and started an argument

between the boys, telling them they had already given them all what they had. And as the

time passed the the thiefs got nervous and one of them took a gun wich he pointed to one

of the boys wich made the boys stayed still but apparently the thief with a the gun did

not understand that at this point the boys had nothing more with them. The thief with the

gun had made up hes mind about the boys lying to him and decided to shot fire at the boys

but just before he did, Thomas realize what was about to happend and jump in front of hes

friends... Thomas recive the 3 shots.

After this the thiefs run away...

As Thomas friends realize the seriousness of hes injuries one of them run to get some

help, while to of them syaed with him. The ambulance arrived between 5 and 10 minutes

after the shooting, but it was already to late as one of the bullets had broke 2 of hes

ribs, a second bullet found his liver and a third bullet found one of hes lungs. All of

this provoke irreparable internal and external bleeding to Thomas, despite hes friends

tried to cover hes wounds till the ambulance arrived.

But Thomas was so in love of life that he did not leave this world without a fight as he

manage to come back 3 times from death during CPR procedure... but ther was not a forth

time. He died about 2 and a half hours after the shooting. He was 15 years old.

Hes funeral took place on Friday the 9th at 11:00 am... I was told than more than 800

people arrived to say there last goodbye to him.

This horrible event left a loving mother and loving father without there son and a loving

11yo sister and a loving 8yo brother without there older brother Thomas, and left many of

us without a friend, a really good friend.

And for those of us that really knew him, we know this world had lost a good surfer, a

great musician, an amazing singer but above all a beautiful soul, as hes bigger concern in

life was always helping others. He told me once "the only real way to help your self was

by helping others" and despite this might sound as a made up sentense without importance,

he lived hes life that way, helping otheres on different ways... he liked to make sad

person smile, he liked to push people to overcome there own fears and he liked to be

frieds of lonely people. He belived that small actions where enough to change the world

for good, as he belived that "if u feed a hungry person then wouldnt that small action

change the world for that person?"

I only met him for a couple of months this last summer on Cape Town, South Africa, but

those 2 months I spend it with him i learn more about life and about my self than i did in

the last 20 years of my life. There was nothing average about Thomas, he was always a

light in the dark and he made sure to shine it over as much people as he could, always

talking smart, always friendly, always joking, always helpful, always pushing us to live

life on the present and leave the future on futures hand, always cheering us up and

always, always with a smile... "
