you are wrong about so many aspects. the english empire we fought to be free of wasn't based on christianity or freedom. it was based on a monarch who felt he could manipulate the 'rules' and do what he wanted simply because he wanted to. their idea of freedom was, do anything you want and believe whatever your heart desires...just so long it is what we say. really there was no choice involved, and THAT is what we fought be free from. did i ever say that my country was founded on christianity? NOPE, don't think so. so stop puting words in my mouth. christianity is an underlying importance, but our country was founded on freedom of choice (christianity, judism, islamic, ect) you can believe, say, and think whatever the hell you want, and that is the idea. but in your INTERPRETATION of what america is, you for got one big recurring phrase: 'one nation, UNDER GOD, with liberty and justice for all. you are outright wrong, go ahead and tell me about my country, when i tell you about yours.

and as far as socialism goes, it is an unavoidable trend towards world governance. it's 'progression' can only be postponed. and you are absolutely right, there are even u.s. states moving in socialist ways like that of canada...coughcaliforniacough.­..and it is a disgrace to what this country was founded on. but like i said, 'progression' is unavoidable.

you are jumping all over the board and i don't even know what this argument is about anymore. i don't care what stats you can look up and spew out all over my page. i agree that the planet is overpopulated, what the hell is the argument here and why is it my job to feed them? i am preaching self sufficiency and that people should be responsible for their own well being. if the planet cannot support us all then it is only right to have the population decreased either by our doing or God's. not depending on others and providing for myself is something i am proud of. you say that i will never be 'free', but who are you to make the call? a man makes his own way and must determine for himself if he is satisfied with his quality of life, only then can he answer what 'freedom' is; because it can mean different things to different people.

contrare my canadian friend, i am anticipating the future. the scheme is greatly bigger than you realize. history has shown that it repeats itself and by using history as a guide it is easy to see that at the end of the day; it will always be citizens vs subjects, free vs oppressed, and the people vs the government. such is the circle of power in human nature, and why individual rights and sovereignty are so important to those who understand it. progressivism is socialism, and socialism is a tweak away from communism. don't trust a government that doesn't return the favor.
