BMW has made a hydrogen internal combustion engine that you can buy. It won't solve the energy crisis though. Oil is far cheaper then hydrogen plus hydrogen today is gather in 2 ways, the cheapest is cracking crude oil, or the inefficient way is electrolysis of water. Hydrogen is not a good fuel ...

@DxBOY617 No, you should stick with 5w-30, or if you really like your car use 0w-30. 10w-30 is thicker when your engine is cold and will accelerate engine wear.

The difference between the space shuttle seemingly impossible a century ago and FTL today is that the space shuttle was an enormous Engineering challenge, while FTL needs a break through in our understanding in Physics. FTL is much much more difficult.

All those things are great, but none of those things really captured the public's imagination. NASA has sort of lost their way. But there is hope - the space program in the US has started to go to commercial companies. It's about time that space be open to the general public.

@MrFishdale Not only does it cost a ton (possible more then a new car), extensively modifying your car makes it unreliable. I've been down that road and it was an exercise in total frustration. I would highly recommend that you do not modify a car used for daily driving.

For all those people saying he didn't do it properly, we have no idea what the situation is. If I was in a middle of a race (even autocross) if I could do it on the spot I would just do it and do a proper fix later on.

I wish I had a machine like this during my assembly programming class - something is lost when you're programming low level programming with solid state devices.

I think I had to agree, but he wasn't trying to get the fastest time, he was trying to find the handling limits for all cars - thus he needed constant corrections.
