Guitarist Dean DiMarzo's YouTube Channel.
About Me:
My videos are mostly covers of my favorite songs. I generally play or program all the parts myself, and my videos under the name of the "Dean DiMarzo Band" showcase the one-man band side of my work.
I also post lessons from time to time, hoping to answer the questions posed to me by viewers, and spread the musical knowledge.
Outside of YouTube, I maintain a band as well as a solo project, and perform with both regularly. I am a private teacher and own a humble recording studio in which I record my band as well those of my friends. I do session work on several instruments for other musicians, and perform in pit orchestras for theaters around the Hudson Valley.
-FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS-
Q: Do you have tabs for xxxxxxxxx?
A: No. I try to make it a habit of learning songs by ear, to better train my musical instincts. As such, I don't usually have the notation on hand to send to you. I do recommend checking Ultimate-Guitar.com, however.
Q: How long have you been playing?
A: I have been playing guitar for 6 years. The other instruments (aside from drums, my original instrument) I picked up along the way.
Q: What amp/guitar/pedal is that?
A: My entire up-to-date rig is currently posted at http://blog.myspace.com/lon...
Q: Will you be my friend on Facebook?
A: No. I try to keep my personal life and work life separate, sorry.
Q: Why did you take down the "Through The Fire and Flames" video? It was AWESOME!
A: The video was in fact taken down by YouTube, as WMG felt it violated their copyright. I won't object to that, even though it meant taking a big hit to my daily view count.
Q: Will you do a cover of xxxxxxxxxx?
A: Honestly, I'm not a big request-taker. If I find a song interesting enough to post a video of, I will, but frankly it's not going to happen otherwise.

You may not be a big request taker, but I have some songs you may find interesting that would be sweet to see you play. Play me some Paul Gilbert, something jazzy like Bronx 1971. It would also be nice to see you play some of his other faster things as well. Just an idea.....

You should cover Addicted to that Rush, you'd be able to take the insanity what is Paul Gilbert and his finger breaking riffs.
