DeWitt & Franklin

DeWitt and Franklin are based in Mariposa, near Yosemite National Park in California. For the past few years the band has performed original songs throughout the Sierra Foothills. Their music styles include "Cowboy Jazz", folk rock, blues, jazz and reggae. Songs tell of life experiences including love, joy and loss.


The band, which formed in 2007, is an accumulation of talent from the Yosemite area. Bill DeWitt's father was Bob DeWitt, founder of the "Fine Gold Trust" who in the 1960's brought nationally known folk artists to the "Red Mountain Ranch" in the California Mother Lode. Glenn Franklin's father was the world renowned "Cousin" Jack Franklin, Mariposa's Honorary Mayor and Ambassador of Good Will.
