you know, i just recorded this and i was really looking forward to being the best young guy on youtube to have recorded this....and then i heard this recording. dang. child is GOOD. i'm hitting up the web site now to see what he sounds like these days.

oh. and her vibrato when she gets piano.....what pitch are you singing there, dear? it seriously spans about a half step.

i wouldn't DARE write a show mocking ANY religion. God doesn't promote disrespect; He espouses maturity and love. I'm glad i won't have to answer for writing something like this.

mediocre, at best. when is a decent classical tenor going to go big in musical theatre? this guy's fine, but look at all the straining once he gets above an e or f. totally off-the-breath pop singing.

@kaztenor, you've got it right, man. carrerras knows what's up.

it's actually spelled "mais," not "mas." unless they're trying to say "but than anything," which makes so sense. the actual idiomatic expression in portuguese is "more than anything," and "more" in portuguese is "mais." "mas" means "but."

@Jesterswords ha. and this is why musical theater can sometimes drive me nuts--they allow them to get away with stuff like that. i say if you're getting paid to perform, do it right. but i guess with a lot of classical background, i'm bound to be a bit of a snob.

just two different experiences.....

NOBODY on the sing-off even comes CLOSE to comparing with "groove," except for MAYBE Committed (but even those boys have some major intonation issues.). it's a shame the judges don't flip out over this performance. it was OFF. THE. HOOK.

heck, they were praising backbeats for 7ths and 9ths--...
