i wouldn't DARE write a show mocking ANY religion. God doesn't promote disrespect; He espouses maturity and love. I'm glad i won't have to answer for writing something like this.

mediocre, at best. when is a decent classical tenor going to go big in musical theatre? this guy's fine, but look at all the straining once he gets above an e or f. totally off-the-breath pop singing.
@kaztenor, you've got it right, man. carrerras knows what's up.

it's actually spelled "mais," not "mas." unless they're trying to say "but than anything," which makes so sense. the actual idiomatic expression in portuguese is "more than anything," and "more" in portuguese is "mais." "mas" means "but."

@Jesterswords ha. and this is why musical theater can sometimes drive me nuts--they allow them to get away with stuff like that. i say if you're getting paid to perform, do it right. but i guess with a lot of classical background, i'm bound to be a bit of a snob.
just two different experiences.....

NOBODY on the sing-off even comes CLOSE to comparing with "groove," except for MAYBE Committed (but even those boys have some major intonation issues.). it's a shame the judges don't flip out over this performance. it was OFF. THE. HOOK.

@bmc102392 and @festher2 I agree with you, festher2--perfect pitch has nothing to do with having a good ear. you can't train perfect pitch, but you can train a good ear.
and @bmc102392, i have sung this song bunches of times. if you have the voice for it, it's technically difficult to find th...

Chess Benefit Rehearsal - Pity the child
Here´s Adam Pascal singing Pity the child. This song is referred to in theatrical circles as "pity the singer" as it is incredibly hard to sing.

@spydergoalie35 actually, i don't think it is full voice. i've sung this song a bunch and have trained my head tone, mix, falsetto, upper extension, etc, etc a whole lot, so i know exactly what it sounds like when they transition. in this, you can hear it (well, i can hear it) at "pity the chil...
