Kath in her Diary for Thursday,15th.June 1950, has simply written,"Vienna..Bach.Mass in B minor.6pm."

In her Letters she writes home to her sister Winifred,

"15th June 1950.Vienna.
Dearest Win,-----------------------------------------------------
My last concert is tonight-B minor Mass-the other two safely and succesfully over.The critics are marvellous---especially for here----and I've been asked back for a recital. It's been terrifically hot---lovely for lounging,but a bit much in a crowded hall.--------------------------------------------

1950,was the only year when Kath was meeting and performing on a regu;lar basis, with the top musicians in Europe.
10 months later she was diagnosed with the illness which caused her death on 8th.October,1953,age 41 years.
