You don't even try to understand my viewpoint. Have you EVER driven in a blizzard, 100 miles from the nearest city? That isn't something you do in anything other than a powerful truck or suv. To do otherwise is tantamount to suicide. Like I said, go look up "South Dakota Blizzard" on youtube. Watch the first few videos. I assure you, you've never seen anyting like it in your life. And then I want you to tell me how you're going to make non-fossil fuel cars affordable for a family that has a total income of $30k a year.

Yeah, no, really good plan. You get back to me when the hundreds of farmers who can barely afford to feed their families are supposed to afford freaking hybrids, people who pass down vehicles that they maintain for 40 years because they can't afford a new one. You're right. Good plan!!!! How dare those evil farmers not commit suicide by driving a honda in -50 in five feet of snow. How about you search "South Dakota Blizzard" in youtube, watch about 5-10 videos, and you tell me exactly how a freaking car is going to get you through that alive.

You realize some people drive "gas hogs", as you call them, because when it's -50 in the dead of winter and the roads are covered in ice it will save your life, right?
