Edit: Thanks to everyone who showed up! We were very surprised that 2,200 people joined in 30 minutes of notice.
We had no plans for this stream other than a live griefing of rice-think.net. We ran into unexpected problems when 2,200 people tried to join at once and the server came to a grinding halt. We moved on to s.nerd.nu and c.nerd.nu, where each server filled to capacity and lagged out several times from thousands of spam messages from our fans.
At this point, a Justin.tv admin muted our stream and told us that our mere presence on the servers was equivalent to a DDoS and that we had to stop. UnknownGamer sang him a song, and we agreed to not post more Minecraft server information because of the ban risk.
We were unexpectedly forced to not show certain parts of the stream, but I filmed the entire thing from my perspective. I will post the footage once I'm done editing some previous stuff; I'm behind because of how hard we've been griefing lately.

I purchased two fire starters for my camping gear from www.firesteel.com. I was hesitant to pay a couple dollars more, but the reviews looked great and the website was the most informative I've ever seen on the subject.
So, right out of the package I played with them and was so impressed that I decided to do this video review to share. Their starters produce AMAZINGLY HOT sparks and plenty of them. (I could have probably produced a more efficient spark if I didn't have the starter and the striker on the same string, but that's how I keep them together in my camping bag. Otherwise I'd lose one or the other.)

And while you CAN use your knife to generate the spark, it does seem to produce a much nicer spark with their FireSteel Super Scraper for 1.79

Your mileage may vary, but I was very impressed with this product and after a few uses I can feasibly see where it would light thousands of fires without needing to be replaced.
